Removal of Water Soluble Face Paint

How to Remove from your skin:

Most of the time face paint products wash off with:

  • mild soap and water -the mildest soap you have, preferably one with a neutral pH, and be

      careful to avoid your eyes.

  • a high quality baby wipe -Avoid using low cost baby wipes as these can be irritating to the skin.

  • baby shampoo, water and a washcloth. - Baby shampoo is mild enough so as not to irritate the sensitive skin of your face. Work the shampoo into a rich lather onto the washcloth, and then gently remove away the paint. Rinse your face with warm water, and then dry.

If some colors still remain after washing with simple soap and water. Here are the best ways to remove this make-up:

  • Do not RUB the paint to get it off. This pushes the paint into the pores and makes it stain more!

  • Use make-up remover or apply a moisturizing lotion, wait at least 5 minutes, and wash again.

  • Dip cotton balls in baby oil or coconut oil and gently wipe away the paint. However, this may require the use of many cotton balls, depending on how much paint is present.

To remove face paint from clothing:

Wash it by hand in cold water using soap or pre-washing agent. Do not try to remove the makeup from clothing in a washing machine. Avoid warm or hot water when trying to remove the paint from clothing. Avoid using near sensitive fabrics like silk that absorbs pigments.

Be sure to take off paint before going to bed as it may not come out of fabrics as easily as it does from skin.

Removal of Water/Sweat Resistant Face Paint

How to Remove from your skin:

Once you are ready to take the body paint off, you can use:

  • coconut oil

  • mineral oil

  • Baby oil

  • some makeup removers or

  • 99% Rubbing Alcohol (isopropyl alcohol)

If you warm the oils up first, it is a bit easier for the paint to be removed. Allow time for the oils to set on the skin for a few minutes, then with slight pressure wipe away. When using 99% rubbing alcohol, rub on the skin until the paint starts to fade/breakdown. Keep away from eyes. FOLLOW ALL PRECAUTIONS on rubbing alcohol bottle. For some Makeup Removers you can apply directly to the skin to allow instantaneous removal of paint. Once most of the paint is wiped away, you can then add soap on skin and then water then bathe as usual. The longer the paint is worn, the easier it is to come off .
